Art & Environnement Association and BNP Paribas support the campaign « Plant for the Planet » and the GreenHands project at the Fund Forum International in Monaco, in June 2011, for the planting of trees in the Tamil region, South India.

The United Nations General Assembly declared 2011 as the International Year for Forests. Art & Environnement Association (AEA) and BNP Paribas have decided to join this cause by embracing Project GreenHands, which values the relationship between social, environmental and economic elements.

In the context of Fund Forum International in Monaco, and throughout the Conference, BNP Paribas Securities Services and AEA will involve delegates via the Plant & Play game to participate and embrace this cause.

Project GreenHands (PGH) is a huge, viral tree planting movement that aims to reverse desertification, malnutrition and poverty within Tamil Nadu by mobilizing 100% of the state’s population to plant 114 million trees as fast as possible.

Trees and humans are in an intimate relationship. What they exhale, we inhale, what we exhale, they inhale. This is a constant relationship that nobody can afford to break or live without.”
