Positioned at the edge of one of the busiest roads of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the “Burned Trees” sculptures call for the vigilance of the public, sentinels of a region particularly affected by forest fires.

Philippe Pastor presents a new version of « The Burned Trees » with an installation made of 15 black calcined wood sculptures.

Shown at the Universal Exhibition in Milan in 2015, the monumental black trees installation is exhibited at Château des Marres for the 2017-2018 season.

The first “Burned Trees” sculpture were presented in 2007. Since then, Philippe Pastor has presented different variations, including enamelled colored plaques, mirrors or charred trees.
