Positioned at the edge of one of the busiest roads of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the “Burned Trees” sculptures call for the vigilance of the public, sentinels of a region particularly affected by forest fires.

Summer 2019-2020
Philippe Pastor presents a new version of « The Burned Trees » with an installation made of 15 black calcined wood sculptures.

Summer 2018-2019
After the black « Burned Trees » sculptures, installed in the summer of 2017, Philippe Pastor presents a new colored version made up of red and yellow enamelled plates.

Summer 2017-2018
Shown at the Universal Exhibition in Milan in 2015, the monumental black trees installation is exhibited at Château des Marres for the 2017-2018 season.

The first “Burned Trees” sculpture were presented in 2007. Since then, Philippe Pastor has presented different variations, including enamelled colored plaques, mirrors or charred trees.
